Riding Lessons

Group Lessons are taught Monday-Wednesday evenings and can be on your horse or a Badger Ridge lesson horse.  We try to group lessons by age and ability the best we can.  Private lessons are available on an individual basis when Alison’s schedule allows.  Lessons emphasize equitation for effectiveness, working on good riding position to be the most effective rider possible.  We work with riders to accomplish their individual goals with their horse.  If you do not board at Badger Ridge Farm, you may haul your horse in for lessons at no additional cost.

 

List of Available Lessons:

Private 45 minutes - $50*

Private lessons are great for individuals who need more focused attention to either learn a new skill or work through something with their horse.

Group 2-4 60 minutes - $25/person*

The larger the group for a lesson, the less focus each individual rider receives. Smaller group lessons are better for the less experienced rider because it is easier to give riders more attention and it is safer for individuals to maneuver in smaller groups.

Schooling - $10/person/hour

Schooling sessions are provided for riders who are preparing for competition. They will be grouped based on class type such as over fences, showmanship, horsemanship, trail, etc. These sessions are on a sign up basis, first come first serve. The sign up sheets are located on the activity board. If the session is full, add your name to the bottom and if we have enough interest, we will try to add another session.
